The game’s comprehensive features, such as realistic farm equipment, the weather patterns and ground working mechanics mean that you can customise your farm life extensively, to create the farm of your dreams. You can operate a French vineyard, growing grapes for wine, eating and more, or grow olives in the Mediterranean – or perhaps grow immense fields full of wheat and corn in the American mid-west. Or maybe farm dairy cattle in the shelter of the Alps – you can choose from an astonishing array of farm types. A new area in the game is reminiscent of the Central European region, a varied area rich in diverse plant and animal life – look out for the storks! New plants to grow include carrots, parsnips and red beet, as well as favourites from the previous games in the franchise, and you can make new products with them, too. As well as selling fresh fruit and vegetables, you can set up factories to make soup and tin the vegetables. You can also make crisps from your potatoes! If you are growing some of the new crops, you will have to learn about the equipment needed to sow, harvest and transport them to wherever they need to go – but Zielonka (the new area) is perfectly suited to farming, with rich soil and plenty of readily available water on hand in the ponds and rivers that run through the area.
